So this post is going to be an article review from The Jakarta Post. The article that caught my eye had this headline, Zoo defends conditions following video of sun bears begging for food. The sun bears took place at Bandung zoo. This problem became quite viral after someone uploaded a video into social media. Else than the bear food matter, Bandung zoo had gained a lot of critics about how they manage the animal health after a Sumatran elephant died because of sickness and due to no medical treatment.
After reading this article, it remind me that some type animal can get stress and life shorter after being in a different habitat than it should be. They may also hurt physically too ( in another zoo country). But as long there is the bad side there are also the good sides too. Maybe if some nearly extinct animal has lost its habitat, a zoo can be placed for them to rest, eat, and saved from poachers. And since a lot of people go to the zoo, their awareness may also become better and feel more cared to the environment.
I learnt that the island where I lived right now had richness for the plants and animals species, etc. And it would be better if the people whose living in Java now could still used the “old” policy or manner to the other living kind. So our nature, culture and ancestor doing won’t be a waste.??
A hard word that I find along the reading is, revoke which mean to take back or withdraw; annul, cancel, or reverse; rescind or repeal.
